Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Program for the day depends on the time of arrival. Upon arrival to Delhi, transfer to hotel for CHECK-IN and freshen up.

Day 2 : After breakfast, drive around the Parliament House & India Gate. Old Delhi overflows with people from all walks of life, crowded bazaars and winding alleys. You will visit the imposing Red Fort and Jama Masjid to view the excellence of Mughal architecture. Also the riksha drive on the narrow, crazy streets of Delhi. Shop until you drop and try your bargain skills in New Delhi’s many shopping complexes. Learn about Mahatma Gandhi in his Memorial Centre (if time permits). Leave for Agra in the afternoon (3.5 hrs. drive). Check in to hotel.

Day 3: At sunrisewe will visit Taj Mahal – it will be the most amazing sunrise you’ll ever see! Taj Mahal is surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created, 20 000 men laboured on it for over seventeen years. It was comissioned by Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his third wife who died in 1631. Begun in 1632 and completed in 1653, the Taj Mahal is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and considered one of the eight wonders of the world. Also visit the majestic Red Fort, where marble pavilions with floral inlays create a stunning ambience.

Day 4 : Leave for Jaipur, the ”Pink City”, after breakfast via Fatehpur Sikri, a 16th century deserted red sandstone city, built by Emperor Akbar as his capital.

Day 5: Widely known as the ‘Pink City’, Jaipur was colour washed to welcome Prince Albert, the consort of Queen Victoria in 1883. The city was founded in 1727 and is sub-divided into nine rectangular sectors symbolizing the nine divisions of universe. The city still exudes a magical old world charm; an aroma of chivalry and romance is evident everywhere. Experience an unforgettable ride on decorated elephant-back, to the Amber Fort which houses the magnificent Marble Palace, Temple of Victory, and Hall of Mirrors. Later visit the City Palace, home of the present Maharaja.

Day 6: After breakfast flight to Goa. Upon arrival check-in the hotel. In the afternoon free time.

Day 7: After breakfast an OPTIONAL cultural tour: Portugese influence in Goa. We will gain a deeper understanding of Goa’s colonial history of Portuguese heritage on this private half-day tour. We will learn how to Portuguese impacted the region’s religion, architecture and food from your expert guide as you explore some of the most iconic places in Goa. Meet your guide at your Goa hotel and travel in private, air-conditioned comfort to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed site, Basilica of Born Jesus. Walk across the marble floor that’s inlaid with precious stones and visit the remains of Catholic missionary St Francis Xavier. Learn about this man’s life from your guide, as well as from the detailed paintings that decorate the interior. Head upstairs to a gallery of surrealist paintings from Dom Martin, a Goan painter.

Day 8: After breakfast relaxation on the beach and other activities.

Day 9: After breakfast flight to Delgi to catch your flight home.
